Ian Sedge
Ian Sedge is a landscape painter living and working in rural Suffolk. Ian is motivated to paint by the countryside around him. Originally focusing on a career in graphic design and sign writing he moved for a a time to North London but returned several years ago to the village where he was brought up in Suffolk to paint full time. Ian says, "the countryside has always played a powerful, emotional part in my life. The beautiful area I live in has deep connection to the magic of childhood fantasy and play, as well as hopes and fears of past and future. The sometimes “simple” scenes of Suffolk in my paintings keep me searching for the magic of my past and the hopes for the future.”
Ian has a degree in graphic design from the University of Hertfordshire and is the co-founder of Suffolk Heritage Skills which aims to promote the work of talented artisans from across Suffolk. He exhibits widely in Suffolk and at UK art fairs. For sales enquires please contact [email protected] |
