Barrie lives and works in Woodbridge, Suffolk. He studied painting at St Martins School of Art. After travelling extensively, Barrie became a theatre designer and then an actor. It was when Barrie moved to Suffolk that he started painting full time.

Barrie has had a number of solo exhibitions in London, Cambridge (Lynne Strover gallery), Ely (Old Fire Engine House), Dublin, Aldeburgh (Peter Pears gallery), Woodbridge, and Ipswich (John Russell Gallery). He has also been part of recent mixed exhibitions in Edinburgh, Bath, Ipswich Liverpool, Long Melford (Lime Tree Gallery) and Bristol, The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition London, and the Singer and Friedlander Watercolour Exhibition Mall Galleries London.

We are easy to find. 5 minutes walk from Woodbridge train station (1.5 hours from London, Liverpool Street) and easily accessible by train or car from Cambridge and Norwich. Parking nearby but not directly outside the Gallery unless for loading or unloading.
