Kate Felton
Kate lives and works in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Kate paints harbourscapes around and about in Woodbridge, capturing a unique perspective on what she sees around her. Kate is also known as a portrait painter and a painter of larger than life, still life. Kate uses thin layers of oils to build colour and detail, and then finishes with glazes to add intensity.
Kate studied Typography & Graphic Communication at Reading University before entering the School of Communication Arts in London. Kate then worked as an Art Director in the creative department of Saatchi & Saatchi where she worked on TV, press, poster and radio campaigns for many years; winning silver Creative Silver and Gold NABS awards. Turning now full time to fine art, Kate exhibits widely in galleries in Suffolk, and has participated in mixed shows at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London. Her recent portrait of the Southwold town courier was selected for the final round of the BP Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery. For sales enquires please contact [email protected] |
